'Juniors' Outing!
Oh yes. Minshuen suggested a Sec 1 and Sec 2 outing! So that we juniors will stop pestering the seniors about how SHUAI they are while waiting for a CCA outing. XDSo, anyone (from Sec 1 and Sec 2 of course) supports the idea? If a lot of people want then we can decide what where when how who which and huh. XD (A lot = >10? >8? >5? I don't know.)

Yay! This is Xin Zhuo here. =DI took down most of the posters from school today (because I was hunting for the first 2 editions but didn't find any, so I was bored and took all of the final edition that I could see... -.- ). So if anyone wants the final edition one, tell me! (Or else I'll have 5 posters of the same edition... -.-)
Okay, this post is getting super short. I shall lengthen it.
Anyone knows where can we find posters of the first 2 editions? A lot of us are currently desperate for the whole collection (as you can see from our insane biddings on the tagboard...). XD Well, I'm thinking (and feeling that it's a seriously bad idea) that if many of us want the whole collection... um, we can go and mass-print as a CCA or something? Those of us who ordered will pay for the posters and all... Um, well, just a (super lame) idea. I don't really think anyone (other than us Sec 1 and 2s) even want the whole collection...
Oh yeah, are we going to have a CCA outing? WE (as in the Sec 1s and 2s) WANT ONE!!! (Veryvery desperately) Because we miss everyone mah. (Just kidding.) Um, so are we going to have one? Please? XD I know it's very hard to find a date that all SIXTY-ONE people are free on... but... um... WE WANT OUTING AH!!!!! *shrieks like the maniac that I am*

Surprise visit from a random senior...
Hi Guys! It me, jasmine the old old senior from eons ago. Firstly, i'll like to congratulate u guys on a successful performance. I think angela has already said a lot but i'll just add on some thoughts on my own...The show on fri was honestly a bit of a disaster... but well guys, you guys made it up on sat. Although the show on sat wasnt perfect as well, but i must say it was a big improvement and I would like to give all of you guys a big pat on your backs! The show on sat was much better technically even though there were glitches here and there.
Nonetheless, well done guys(or gals for that matter)!
As for post production blues/depression(ppd), it will come. And i'm quite sure that u guys are already feeling it. I think angela has given you all good advice for this and indeed, whatever you have will be in your memories for life. When i watched your xiemu, it reminded me of my very own xiemu 2yrs ago. I must admit i was touched by your passion, your energy, the very same passion and energy in us seniors when we did our show in this very same venue. What has to come to an end, will end and I really hope you guys will remember this experience deep in your heart.
For sec 4s, this may be your last time in theatre for some, or the start of your life in theatre for others. No matter what, this experience will be yours to keep and remember.
For sec 1,2,3s, i'm not sure if u guys will get a chance to have a production of your own next year cuz of syf but irregardless, learn as much as you can from your seniors now. especially the sec 4s. Theatre is not something you can learn as theory but rather learn on the job. I can teach you the theory for 100 hrs. but nothing beats just being there for 1 production. I hope you guys have learnt something from this show, and hopefully, i can look forward to an even better show the next time I'm back. =)
Being back just during the last week, I know i may have been very harsh with you guys, especially when it came to discipline. But i really hope you guys understand where I am coming from. Every minute, every second u have in the audi is precious. You must learn to treasure the time in there and most importantly, learn to listen when it is time to do so. There is a time for fun and a time for work. When we are in the theatre, when we are hard pressed for time, we need to focus. If you guys wanna go play, after the production, there's plenty of time. Hence, i hope that you guys learn the importance of theatre discipline. Besides time management, i'm sure you guys know the do and donts in the theatre and backstage. Hoepfully all these will be passed down to your juniors as well.
Ok... I know i old liao... very very naggy.... but i would like to say, GOOD JOB GUYS! i'm proud of you! My greatest satisfaction came when i saw all of you guys so estactic after the show, and i must say i was moved by ur passion! keep that passion burning and pass it on one batch after the other.

YO YO YO!!!
HEY FELLOW NYJF JUNIORS!Angela here. ok, before i start off, let me self-intro first. i was the vice pres of the graduated nyjf batch of 2007! okie dokes as an avid reader (HAHAH!) of xun-yimeng blog, im here to post something too! (finally)
Firstly, CONGRATS PEOPLE!
you guys have made it, you guys have took the stage by storm on 23rd and 24th may. (though i would say that the friday show was more of a full-dress rehearsal for you guys thanks to *ahem*) but whatever the case, you people have done it! the show wasn't perfect. not all technical cues were executed at the exact moments, the props were not of first-class quality, the actors are not those of professional standards. but... so?
as what xinzhuo (i presume is a sec1junior??!) said, who says the best have got to be perfect. whether or not a production is good is not judged by the number of seats sold out, not by the positive feedback received, but by the fact that it successfully bonded everyone involved in it. the friendship and bonds made throughout the entire process of putting up a show is what each and everyone of you should be cherishing.
this brings me on to my nxt point. post production blues are inevitable. but look on the bright side! you can only miss something you remember having. it's lucky enough to know that you hold the greatest memories of your life, which upon when you look back at your life in nanyang, xunyimeng will be something you guys would recall instaneously. be proud that you are part of this production team, and that not everyone gets to experience that touching moment when the curtains fell while the audience awards you with their generous cheers and applause.
sure, life goes on even after 24th may 2008. as time goes by, you will get over your production blues. 但是我希望你们不会忘记那份原始的感动. keep all the scripts, props movement sheet, lights sounds cues, production postcards/booklets etc all into a box for safekeeping. but, do keep all your memories in an even safer place: your heart.
lastly.
it isn't enough to just be bouncing around with energy and passion, yet lacking in the appropiate knowledge needed to pull off a show. so juniors, go pick up some stage skills from your seniors. they have been through at least 2 major productions and definitely got much more experience than you guys. when the sec4s leave, you would be left fending on your own. so make good use of the time to rip some knowledge off them alright!
you wouldn't imagine how much us expired seniors envy you guys. to be still in nanyang, still in nyjf, and be part of our first very own production: xun yi meng. so treausre the times you have left in nyjf, keep the spirits up even long after production ended, don't lose your passion and enthusiam which i see you guys seem to be brimming with.

XD I think someone once said there was a birthday list in last year's contact list? Maybe we can use that and the Sec 1s just add in their birthdays or something. Yeah... um, so, discuss in the tagboard! =D

Okay, let me go back to some not-so-cheerful stuff.
Yes, for the next prod, the Sec 4s won't be here anymore. Maybe even the Sec 3s won't be here. But still, I believe for the majority of the seniors, you would only be across the street. That isn't that far away, is it? All of you can still come back! (YOU'D BETTER.) We don't care if you are back to help us, watch us, meet us, see us again, encourage us, discourage us, scold us, laugh at us and our kaishens *coughcough*Jiang Yue*coughcough*. We really don't. We'd simply be happy that you are back. Come back anytime you want. We always welcome you! (And we won't be guarding the door/windows to ensure that you can't come inside. Don't worry, we won't follow Felicia's BAD EXAMPLE. Muahahahaha.)
Okay, I think I've spoiled the whole cheerful thing. Never mind.

PPS-ing...
Hello, Xin Zhuo here! =DDI HAVE EDITED THIS. =D BECAUSE I MISSED OUT SOME STUFF YESTERDAY. SO IF YOU'RE INTERESTED(which I don't think you'll be), READ IT AGAIN!!!!! (Oh, and it's in caps to get your attention. XD)
Yay. Just got home from prod.
I find myself weird. I was super-highing in the audi and emo-ing on the bus. Maybe it's because, like what Fiona said, it takes time for the fact that Xunyimeng is over to sink in.
Over.
OVER.
We won't be rehearsing the shows again, we won't be making props again, we won't be moving props again, we won't run around backstage like headless chickens, changing/finding props or people again, we won't be having anymore tech runs, we won't be going into the audi for any more rehearsals, we won't have anymore xiemu rehearsals, we won't have another xunyimeng again.
(Well, we will have another production. We'd better. But it won't be the same.)
Zheng Yan told me backstage that this is the last production for the sec 4s, and they won't be having another one. Well, Sec 4 seniors, you all must come back for the next production okay? MUST!!!!!!!! We don't care if you are in university overseas or what, you must come back to watch/help us!!!!!! Or else we won't love you anymore! (Just kidding.) Oh, this applies to Sec 3s seniors as well, in case we don't have a production next year. =D
On the bus, I was thinking, 'Xunyimeng is going to be over.' Then I realised that is wrong. So I thought, 'Xunyimeng will be over soon.' Then, suddenly, it hit me, 'Xunyimeng is already over.'
Time flew past. It feels like it's only last month when we auditioned for our characters, only last week when we first brought in costumes, a few days ago when we made props
Gosh, I'm majorly PPS(Post Production Syndrome)-ing.
PPS aside, I think we all rocked today. NSZ and Tianhei were wonderful. ZXWSDKL did our best, and it was really good too. Love all of you. (Oh yeah, and I owe 60 people aka everyone in the CCA presents. =xxxx)
Everyone, I know that you have all put in a lot of effort, be it for just the past 6 months or 2 years. I hope you are not disappointed, that your dreams have came true.
Xunyimeng is not perfect. Who says that the best must be perfect, though?
I still can't believe it.
Xunyimeng is over.
(I'm having sore throat now due to excessive screaming in front of the audi (which strangely made me cry. The screaming, I mean.). Haha.)

we did it.
the show was fantastic according to those who contacted me after watching. so really, great job. you guys are really amazing. love you guys to bits. it will be hard to part with an effort for 6 whole months, but its up to us to keep it a memory that will last forever. just treasure the experience. dont dwell in the past thats gone. for seniors, dry your tears and clear the stage well, leave it the shiniest stage for our juniors to continue dazzling the audience. for juniors, keep it neat, and treasure this experience, the next time, its up to you ppl to be at the realm. like i said, we can do it, we did it, and we did it again. but, we will still do it even better again.

this would not have been possible without anyone of you.
and from now, continue jiayou-ing to bring our cca to even greater heights.

So I think I'd better say what I want to say, before there is no time left.
(Well, in reality, there ISN'T TIME LEFT, except for another 20 hours.)
Oh gosh. I've forgotten what I wanted to say. =x
Okay, let me try to remember:
I know that I don't really have much right to say this (especially not to seniors, since I'm not exactly experienced in drama), but well, everyone, let's just give in our best, okay? Because, really, there is only 2 more days left. As in, after two days, even if you want to improve on your role etc, there won't be the chance anymore. Even if we can't really meet up to the standards, let's just DO OUR BEST, the best we can give.
Because really, the production deserves the best.
And so do we.
We have been working on this for almost six months (for a lot of seniors, even more than that), so I'm sure that everyone want to do their best tomorrow, and that when we think back on xunyimeng, we won't feel as if it was something that we wasted our time on, did not enjoy and are embarrassed about.
Tomorrow at this time, we'll probably be checking props or something in the audi. Our first show will be over.
How would we feel? Happy? Overjoyed? Sad? Disappointed? Angry? Hyper? Guilty?
That would be determined by what we do.
So let us have happy feelings, and not be mad at ourselves for messing up or something.

Schedule=)
Schedule for tomorrow is send to all of ur emails...those who didnt receive, pls get from ur cca mates. I am nt gonna print for u all ready coz u all nvr treasure my paper=(((Anyway, I am very happy with the sec 1s and 2s today=D The stage discipline had improved tremendously. Compared to the sec1s and 2s. sec3s and sec4s as seniors, actually behaved much worse than our juniors. Please reflect on that. And when ur SMs, cui changs or me tell you all to behave, please do. I understand that we are either ur batch mates or juniors so you don't really feel that much of hmm...authority? compared to the sec1s and 2s but still, give us some respect on stage when it comes to discipline. Thanks=)
Tomorrow is our first full dress rehearsal, Jasmine told us to expect crap and shit...but I hope you all can surprise me by nt doing that. Don't make me scream and shout. That not only makes u sian and unhappy but also bad for my own health. lol.

hey guys.3 more days! or rather 2, in just another 2 hours.
kkay man. nothing much i can say anymore. we know that everyone is trying their bests. so just remember to be there for each other and hang in there for the next few days. dont get too stressed up, and really take care of yourselves. audi pracs are left with two days and we have nearly 2 more shows to go for lx, 1 for props, and all the tech rehearsals needed to be held. so jiayou and do each of our bit. take care of yourselves, stay happy, and enjoy the production, our production.
missing you guys loads. and really, cox of the sloppy job, left behind a lot of things for you guys to clear. so really, sorry, but now, guess the only thing to do is for each and everyone from nanyangjufang to work towards this miracle that we CAN bring onto stage. and bring it to those whom you want them to witness the effort all of us have put in since longlong ago. so, bring them to the show, bring them the drama and let the stage rock with our love for drama!

ok anw, more reminders here:zongwu: montage, plz get it done by monday. we're having meeting at KAP there, hope u guys can bring and let us see first so got any comments we can give and u guys can edit so we have something to show. we'd be bringing a laptop, but if u using windows movie maker, do rmb to convert to video file first k. anw hu's doing the montage? cause i dunno hu to send the meeting details to.
xiemu: all shows, plz think abt wad u want to do for xie mu, wumei groupings too. if i didnt rmb wrongli there shud be time allocated for xiemu practise, we dun want u to start thinking abt it onli then. it'd be a bit too late. we dun hav so much time left alr, so much make full use of time!
actors: plz be clear of ur own lines! and i forgot to say this, its NO FRIED FOOD WEEK K! no chocs also! take care of ur throats, drink more water and everything! we dont want ppl falling ill anymore! so also mus sleep earli!
all: tics sale may have passed 50% alr, but u dun want to see onli a half filled audi, do u, aft all the hard work? so plz try promote to ur classmates, friends etc, think abt it. if everione in the cca sells at least 10 tixs, we'd at least sell 75% of the tix! its our production, lets all giv it our best. so continue promoting!!

rehearsals today.quite disappointing, if u were one of those left behind to clean up the mess. a couple of us, carried some big props over to drama store first, w/o our bags, expecting tt some of u guys cld hav helped to carry the others over. however, when we went back, whch was arnd 645 alr, we saw yixing and qingxiao left wid one huge pile of mess. clothes, hangers, scripts, props, u name it, everywhere. my first point is, i do not believe tt there is one actor who wears like 5 sets of clothes such tt u are unable to carry it by yourselves. so plz plz take charge of ur own costumes, each and everyone of u! secondly, i also do not think tt we hav so much big/small props tt if 50+ of us each help wid some, we need to walk to and fro a couple of times to get it back. its really abt responsiblity, people. you may not be an actor, bt u are part of the cca, of this big family. it is really not cool to be the one clearing out the study hall aft every cca session. i do not hav a duty to do so, but i do so bcoz its my cca. do u walk out of ur house wid it looking like a warzone? no. so plz, i beg of u, please don't leave all the props and things lying arnd!
as such, i hope to implement a sort of system.
costumes, all, will be under the charge of xiaoxiao, costumes leader. she has to make sure everyone takes thing costumes back.
props, SMs to take charge.assign specific ppl to carry every prop, getting non-actors to help is ok also, esp big props.
personal belongings, plz take care urself! a certain junior (shall not name her) left her hongzi behind. x/

The orders for tickets are only trickling in, and according to XiuHui who's now in charge of admin stuff, only 20% of our tickets are currently sold. Today is supposed to be the due date for all the class order forms, and out of the 50+ classes，only 1 was given back to XiuHui.
Please, we are all responsible for the class lists that we were assigned, even if they are not our own classes. If your classmates have ordered through your personal order forms, at least tell XiuHui that nobody is ordering through the class list instead of keeping silent.
Well then, 9 more days to sell 80% of the tickets. Let's do try to sell more! If your friends all say "I'll see if I have time" (like mine do），keep reminding them and "pester" them, because chances are if you don't, they will end up not going. Everyone, at least try sell 15! If you have already surpassed 15, sell 25!
寻·异梦 is our production, so it is up to each and every one of us to make this work.

This three days two nights camp is organised by The Threatre Practice, 实践剧场Tjis yr, they have added extra dimension to they focus in this camp - rhythm and percussion...

14 days left!kkay. some things to say..
kudos to those who went to ban1 the lampost over from huagang.
SMs, daoyans had a meeting today, and the things mentioned to be completed, jiayous bah. from now on, tingchih and zhuoya will be taking over, so do help them wherever you can.
tingchih and zhuoya, you two should already be more or less clear about whatever i told you, remember what has to be done and make sure its done. get the revised schedule out again and send it to me and jasmine, those things that i mentioned, make sure its seen to. start liasing with mr. ng and mr. zuffrey. for AV, there will only be photography and video-taking, lx and sounds, we will handle. SMs to op sounds on stage right if necessary. make sure laoshi do not drag too long for the rehearsals, start lian-pais next week, and the scene change practices including quick change. for wumei, follow up, chase, and help them if you can, but stick strictly to the datelines set, same for SMs and wumei leaders. Jasmine, the senior one, will be coming back to help here and there for the lights as well. so if there's anything you guys aren't clear about, just approach her. anything, just contact me, email or whatever, i will get back to you once i get the msg. so from now till may, the show will be in your hands.
vivian and yimeng, you two have her contact, do what there is to do, by monday, then jas will try to help you guys along with lx. and when you guys bump in, lx will start work. contact the technicians, and check whether they would help you guys focus before bump in. if they are going to, once you hit audi, you can just start plotting. liaise with them, try to get as much done as possible before we enter audi. make sure tingchih and zhuoya are updated of the plans as to whether rigging , focusing will be done, and whether its before, or after bump in. working with jasmine, its tough. but you will learn the most, and learn it well. :)
props, more or less settled. and li laoshi specially commended cheryl our dao zhang, and of course all the others doing props! so carry on jiayou-ing for props. the beds for tian-hei, approach OM tan to ask for the beds teachers use during camps. if theres a problem with borrowing, ask jilaoshi for help. the rest, more or less settled, except maybe ni shi zhen, so jiayou for that and really practise more of scene change. 台上15秒无声的换场，就是我们带给观众的演出。sounds familiar? yay man. :)
costumes, also more or less settled. xiaoxiao, for ni shi zhen's uniform, from what i know, we are still short of one as of yest, approach yunjia of 408, to borrow hers. i spoke to her already, and help me thank her for helping me lend the other two as well. so just see whether you need them. do remember to keep the costumes according to shows, and get the stock check list out. practise qc, and its still gotta be 台下15秒无声的换装! gambate! :)
sounds, lijia laoshi's settling most of it, i think. but if you guys think those that he found are inappropriate, do voice out. and for sounds, when you hit audi, when lx are plotting, you guys will be having to set your volumes. for that, kuan is a pro. so just ask her:) and rmb abt xiemu music too! :)
make up. haha. dunid to say le bah. jiangyue's familiar with this. just that during first day bump in, there should be make up for actors who are supposed to need plotting of lights done on them. that, will be confirmed by tingchih and zhuoya. hmm, so well, just make the actors up! :)
SMs, just as a reminder. props layout backstage, on stage and in the side stage. props movement plans to be done by you guys too. from which wing etc, when, who blah blah blah. told yall before le bah. so well, just do them, early, precise, and accurately. try things out and make sure they work. settle your lumi codings before bump in, get ready lumi before that too etcetcetc. i've already told tingchih most of it. measuring tape etc, torch with gel blah. must rmb! work with the others, and get ur stage right. the stage is yours and yours to control. for each of your shows, you call the shots on stage, make sure the cues are rotten familiar in your brains and let fiona know whatever thats on stage too.
daoyans, jiayou for the pai lians. keep it fast and efficient. we'll need time for the scene changes and lian-pais. start to take timing, take note of pace and time. keep track of every single thing going on and off the stage as well. daoyans are taking the cui chang job for each of your shows on stage right with fiona as the left for all three. the shows, are directed by you, and should be what you think it should, more or less at least. so well, make it a show that rocks the stage.
actors, do what you can and give it your best shot bah. dun be shy, be the character, and just put your heart into acting, thats enough. put in effort, rmb your lines and stuffs bah. the others are working hard backstage, slogging till midnight, and all of you rehearsing so hard, simply for the audience to see your acting. so do it well, and rock the stage. take every rehearsal as the last time you are acting the role, give it your best all the while, and you'll be better than best on 23052008 and 24052008. :)
for all the others, just want yall to know, backstage, admin, etc, are all just as impt. the actors can only bring the audience a show because you did what you did. without the backstage crew, without admin, there werent even be a show, neither will there be an audience. so, thank you all of you for all you've done, and continue jiayou-ing. :)
hmm. the five of us are leaving tmr le. so shall say my piece for now:) well, for this period, i've been scolding and losing my temper a lot. just wanted to say, sorry for that, and really, thanks for your tolerance, especially those, who asked me to jiayou too instead in return for me losing my temper. really really touched me bah. realised, it just feels so heartening when someone just asks, "are you okay? must jiayou hor." so ya, do the same for each other, stay as one, and work hard, together. all this period, with all my lousy results, outside commitments, the naggings from teachers and delays in datelines, it hasnt been easy. but with you guys there, it has really been worth it all.
so from now till prod, its up to all of you to make it work, and to make it the most worth it. cherish the time we have left, it will be tough, but its what that makes it all the more memorable. the show werent be complete without any single one of you, so do your part, ur best, and make the prod into a dream realised thats shared by all of us. so for now, the only thing we can do is to wish all of you all the best, do us proud and rock the stage with the dream we all share! --- 《寻。异梦》

sry abt this late update.- cancel all commitments from today onwards (minus sundays), esp block out the following dates 16may to 24 may. if you have cip, napfa or third lang wadsoever, plz inform tingzhi in advance so tt she can go settle LOA (leave of absence) wid laoshi.
- thursday -- all whose costumes/ small props have not been settled, plz bring to let laoshi approved. laoshi will be practising wid NSZ and ZXWSDKL on thursday, plz do not be late.
- next tuesday -- full dress (head to toe costumes, small props and possible big props) to be present and we will do a run through all three shows. as such, plz make sure you let laoshi approve ur props and costumes come thurs! and by then, i do not want to see actors stil dependent on their scripts. u shud noe ur lines well alr.
- tomorrow -- laoshi rehearsing NSZ at study hall.
- ticket orders -- give money + form to xiu hui of 404
- all three shows, plz gather ur photos to facilitate montage making. pass to jiarern of 410 by thursday erm? yupps.
- all props and costumes are to be kept inside drama store. so plz pass wdv u hav to ur respective SMs by tomorrow! thanks.

kkae, im here to update on wad's actuallie going to go on on stage tmr morning.first we'd put up a short skit arnd 2 mins, wid chen chen (prof) from tian hei, lynn (scientist) from ni shi zhen, and livia (lady boss) from zhao xun wu sheng... if u are interested in wad they are acting, can ask me for the script. i am NOT going to post it up here for obvious reason. then jiarern and felicia or jiarern and zhuoya are going up to give specs abt the show aft tt. then is the throwing of balloons. yupp.

Hello people, me again ._.ok, so we need to buy 200 balloons, i'm supposed to but i'm afraid that the shop doesn't have 200 .. and its public holiday today, may be harder to buy them. Don't buy from NTUC. its ex =P
anyone that passes by any shop that sells balloons and happens to have enough cash for the balloons :p pls sms/call me ! :D to confirm if i bought them alr, if not buy too many :) thanksthanksthanks.
and one bad news ): just called wandong, and found out that the postcard design that she gave xinyan for printing was the old one ): where the info is wrong! well. abit wrong. "$12-vip" is not supposed to be there, and the contact no. is 98769876 ._____. which is one i made up, cos the design is from veryveryveryvery long time ago !@#$%^&*( but on monday, i went to comp lab 1 and edited the postcard! i saved!!!!! damn the computer. it formatted my td too ):):): Haiz, anw.. its alr printed, i called xinyan. but its okay bah, we just have to make sure that the number 98769876 is not in use, hopefully :x if not i dno what will happen D: we'll see on friday bah, the ticket and postcards are printed :)
